To empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding through Lions clubs.
Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organisation with 1.3 million members in approximately 45,000 clubs in 205 countries. Poole Town Quay
In England Scotland Wales & Ireland there are 863 clubs with 17,503 members (as at Aug09).
Poole lions was Chartered in March 1965 - 45 years of fundraising for the community
Poole Lions Club has 16 members.
Lions are men and women who volunteer their time for humanitarian causes. Founded in 1917 by Melvin Jones, our motto is "We Serve."
People who give back something to the community and society as a whole.
People who identify the needs of others and help them to meet those needs.
People who have fun and fellowship whilst helping those who are less fortunate than themselves.
Want to get involved?
Many people assist the Lions in the activities that we hold, other organisations help and sponsor events. Individuals like you can all play an important roll in running an event.

Where We Meet
The Lions Club of Poole meet on the 1st. & 3rd. Thursdays of each month, (except July & August when it is only the 1st Thursday), at 8 p.m. Venue Oakdale Conservative Club 92 Darbys Lane Poole.
